How to Apply for Healthcare Jobs
A practical guide from finding a role to checking your application.
1. Read the Full Vacancy
Start with the responsibilities, location and working arrangements. Check the qualifications and experience the employer lists as essential. Make a note of missing information rather than assuming that a particular benefit, shift pattern or sponsorship arrangement is included.
Review pay in its original currency and period. If a rate is described as “up to”, check which conditions apply. A converted estimate does not change the employer’s contractual offer.
2. Sign In to Your Candidate Account
You can search and read jobs without an account. When you select Apply, sign in or register as a candidate. The journey should keep the job you selected so you do not have to search for it again after signing in.
Check that your account email is one you can access. If you already have an account and cannot sign in, use Contact & Help rather than creating a duplicate account.
3. Check Your Details and CV
Review your name and email address, then select a current CV in the supported format. Keep your experience relevant to the vacancy and make qualifications easy to find. Do not include confidential patient information or unnecessary identity documents.
A supporting note can explain the experience you would bring to the role. Keep it specific to the vacancy instead of repeating your full CV. Before continuing, check that the selected filename is the document you intended to share.

4. Review, Submit and Check the Confirmation
Read the summary before submitting and check the named employer. Confirm your permission to share the application. The confirmation should make clear what happened and what to do next.
If the vacancy sends you to an employer’s own application site, you may need to complete additional steps there. A click on an external link is not confirmation that an application has been submitted.
