Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology (Locum Tenens) - Texas

Join a leading Level IV NICU team seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for ongoing weekend coverage beginning January 2027.

Position Highlights

Locum Tenens
Inpatient NICU setting
Weekend coverage only (1-2 weekends per month)
24-hour in-house call (8:00 AM - 8:00 AM)
Ongoing assignment with a preferred 1-year commitment
Epic EMR
Level IV NICU

Requirements

Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
Active Texas license or IMLC eligibility
DEA required
BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
Experience with:
Lumbar punctures
Arterial line placement
Central line placement
Chest tube procedures
Airway management and intubation

Practice Details

52-bed department
Average patient volume: 30-35 patients
Collaborative support team including NPs/PAs and nursing staff
No admissions required
No APP supervision required

Assignment Details

Start Date: January 2027
Ongoing through January 2028
Weekend call coverage only
Looking for 1-2 providers to share coverage

Pay and Benefits

$150/hr
